★Report Highlights★
In recent years, global warming and greenhouse gas emissions have accelerated climate change, bringing significant risks to the global economy. The rapid melting of polar ice sheets not only threatens the survival of wildlife but also causes invisible losses for businesses. Business leaders and investors often find it difficult to identify which companies may face increased risks and challenges due to climate change. To address this issue, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) established the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). In June 2017, the TCFD released its “Recommendations on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures,” providing a comprehensive framework for evaluating climate-related risks and opportunities for businesses and investors.
Jebsee Electronics follows the TCFD recommendations to disclose climate-related risks and opportunities, showcasing our corporate responsibility and strategies aimed at achieving the vision of a low-carbon economy transformation.
The core elements of TCFD include:
1. Governance
- Focus on whether climate issues are prioritized and how the organization manages climate-related risks and opportunities.
2.Strategy
- Understand how climate issues impact the organization’s short-term, mid-term, and long-term business, policies, and financial planning.
3. Risk Management
- Disclose how the organization identifies, assesses, and manages climate-related risks, and integrates them into the existing risk management processes.
4. Metrics and Targets
- Measure and monitor climate-related risks and opportunities to assess risk-adjusted returns, the ability to fulfill financial obligations, climate-related exposure, and progress in managing and adapting to these risks.
These core elements help investors and decision-makers better understand an organization’s climate-related risks and opportunities, fostering more comprehensive information disclosure.
